WINTER WHITES
Zinc White Known as a mixing white, Zinc White is one third the opacity of Titanium White, this allows for stronger, translucent tints to be mixed creating a subtle and luminous quality. The addition of a pin head size amount of Zinc White to each colour layer will identitfy that specific colour in multiple colour glazes. Titanium White 'The whitest of all whites', Titanium is incredibly opaque and its covering power and resistance to yellowing, makes it a popular choice. Mixed with colours creates opaque pastel shades as compared to the luminous quality of the Zinc White. Titanium White 2 The Titanium #2 is milled for a longer time, combined with more pigment and less oil, this makes for a heavy bodied paint ideal for impasto effects. This replaces the toxic flake white ( lead white) Underpainting White Underpainting dries quicker than other whites. Used straight from the tube this fast drying oil-resin white is ideal for priming and underpainting. Sourced from Art Spectrum http://www.artspectrum.com.au/old/swatches-oils/whites-blacks.html
